Motip Dupli supplies the automotive, decorative and industrial sector through its three production locations in the Netherlands and Germany and through its extensive network of sales subsidiaries and distributors across Europe.

ICG first invested in a recapitalisation of Motip Dupli in October 2003. In January 2006 a private investor wanted to sell its substantial stake in Motip Dupli. ICG approached Motip Dupli’s major shareholder/CEO and proposed buying out the private investor. ICG was the sole institutional investor in the transaction. In 2008 a refinancing took place, making it possible for the CEO to increase their share in the company.

Motip Dupli has a defensible market position with a 40%-50% share of the overall market. It has a strong distribution network cultivated through relationships with DIY stores and opportunities to grow the business by acquiring smaller distributors across Europe.
